Walter Russell – The Nine Octave Harp of the Universe, “In The Waves Lies the Secret of Creation", 1962.

“The trouble with humans is in forming wrong conclusions in relation to Nature’s expressions. We think that elements are different substances and that each substance is permanently existent as such. That is not true. Elements are but different conditions of Light Pressures. They are the raw materials for the fashioning of Creation’s images in the Patterns controlled by Light Waves. They appear when the pressure necessary for their conditions appear and disappear when those pressure conditions cease. Every element in each octave occupies its own pressure position in its Wave. Each element seems to be a different substance as the electric pressure conditions of each position in each Wave of Matter changes. However, it is not the substance that changes, it is the condition of the substance.Voidance and Re-Creation is one of the simplest and most obvious principles of Nature. I cannot imagine how it has escaped discovery during the centuries. Oxygen, for example, is voided when you breathe it in. You produce a condition that calls for the pattern of carbon dioxide, and oxygen, as raw material, is as voided as though it never was. Iron, likewise, voids oxygen and oxygen voids iron by rusting. And so it goes all down through the octave waves.”

Zodiac Wheel.

The Zodiac is an imaginary belt of the Heavens, within which are the apparent paths of the Sun, Moon and Planets. The belt contains twelve Constellations of Stars (hence the twelve Signs of the Zodiac) and each of the twelve Signs are governed by one of these four Elements: Earth, Fire, Air or Water. Astrology plays a big part in the Zodiac, as it is the actual study of influence that the Sun, Moon, Stars and Planets have on an individual at the time of their Birth (which creates all the Sun/Moon/Rising Signs of the Zodiac).

The Intersection of Art and Science.

Science and Art probe Reality for different Truths. They may examine the same exact phenomena we encounter as sentient beings, however, by different methods and questions. Both are Ultimate Manifestations of Consciousness and both require and inspire Creativity. Assigning rank or capability is possible only when enforcing specific situations and even then that would be based on the individuals background and biases, therefore rendering it no longer ‘Absolute’ on the grand scheme of things.

Of the many human disciplines, there are few that could seem more divergent than Art and Science. The artist employs image and metaphor; the scientist uses number and equation. Art creates illusions meant to evoke emotion, while science engages in the pursuit of empirical verification. There is, to some degree, a physiological cause for this apparent divergence: the two halves, or hemispheres, of the brain. The right side of the brain is responsible for emotions and intuition, the left for logic and reason. Yet the notion of two brains gives rise to the function of one Mind. Perhaps it is this one “Undivided Mind” that presents a way forward through the monumental cultural changes we now face, enabling us to surf this dynamic moment in history from a platform of Balance and Symmetry.

Neil deGrasse Tyson also discussed the possibility for Universal Truths within the Realms of Science and Art. He notes that one of the definitive differences is that with Science, the same answer should be uncovered regardless of the observer in pursuit. Art, however, produces answers completely unique to the observer. This intellectual collision of seemingly disparate bedfellows, that something magical and unexpected happens: new patterns emerge; new connections are forged between previously unconnected ideas and inspiration reigns. The main difference between Science and the Arts is not that they are different sides of the same coin, even different parts of the same Continuum, but rather, they are Manifestations of the same thing. The Arts and Sciences are Avatars of Human Creativity.

The Cube of Space.

Since ancient times, the Cube has been a symbol of Truth, Order, and the Physical Plane. According to “The Book of Formation”, the Manifested Universe is represented as a Cube.  In Tarot Key 7 (The Chariot), we see a representation of the Cube as being both a symbol for Physical Embodiment, and as a vehicle for the Self. Thus, the Cube of Space is a representation of the Universe as a vehicle for the One Self’s Expression and Experience.

The Cube has the following properties: The six faces of the Cube and its interior center are assigned to the seven double letters of the Hebrew Alphabet, and thus also to the seven interior Holy Planets, the seven Metals of Alchemy, and the seven Tarot Keys. The three interior co-ordinates correspond to the three Hebrew Mother Letters. The twelve boundary lines represent the twelve simple Hebrew letters, the twelve Signs of the Zodiac, and to the twelve remaining Tarot Keys.

Animism.

Animism (from Latin anima, “breath, spirit, life”) is the worldview that non-human entities, such as animals, plants, and inanimate objects, possess a Spiritual Essence. In a future state this Soul or Spirit would exist as part of an Immaterial Soul. The Spirit, therefore, was thought to be Universal.

Animism is used in the anthropology of religion as a term for the belief system of some indigenous tribal people, especially prior to the development of organized religion. Although each culture has its own different mythologies and rituals, “Animism” is said to describe the most common, foundational thread of indigenous peoples’ “Spiritual” or “Supernatural” perspectives. The Animistic perspective is so fundamental, mundane, everyday and taken-for-granted that most Animistic indigenous people do not even have a word in their languages that corresponds to it.

Animism encompasses the belief that there is no separation between the Spiritual and Physical (or Material) World, and Souls or Spirits exist, not only in humans, but also in some other animals, plants, rocks, geographic features such as mountains or rivers, or other entities of the natural environment, including thunder, wind, and shadows. Animism thus rejects Cartesian Dualism. Animism may further attribute Souls to abstract concepts such as words, true names, or metaphors in Mythology.

Samuel Liddel MacGregor Mathers – The Magical Circle of King Solomon, “The Goetia: The Lesser Key of Solomon the King”, 1904.

THE MAGICAL CIRCLE
This is the form of the Magical Circle of King Solomon, the which he made that he might preserve himself therein from the malice of the Evil Spirits. This Magical circle is to be made 9 feet across, and the Divine Names are to be written round it, beginning at Ehyeh, and ending at Levanah, Luna.

THE MAGICAL TRIANGLE OF SOLOMON
This is the Form of the Magical Triangle, into which Solomon did command the Evil Spirits. It is to be made at 2 feet distance from the Magical Circle and it is 3 feet across. Note that this triangle is to be placed toward that quarter where unto the Spirit belongeth. And the base of the triangle is to be nearest unto the Circle, the apex pointing in the direction of the quarter of the Spirit. Observe thou also the Moon in thy working. Anaphaxeton is sometimes written Anepheneton.

The coiled serpent is only shown in one private codex, the Hebrew names being in most cases simply written round in a somewhat spiral arrangement within the double circle. It is to be remembered that Hebrew is always written from right to left, instead of from left to right like ordinary European languages. The small Maltese crosses are placed to mark the conclusion of each separate set of Hebrew names. These names are those of the Deity Angels and Archangels allotted by the Qabalists to each of the 9 first Sephiroth or Divine Emanations.

In English letters they run thus, beginning from the head of the serpent:
✠ Ehyeh Kether Metatron Chaioth ha-Qadesh Rashith Ha-Galgalim S.M.M. (for “Sphere of the Primum Mobile”) ✠ Iah Chockmah Ratziel Auphanium Masloth S.S.F. (for “Sphere of the Fixed Stars,” or S.Z. for “Sphere of the Zodiac”) ✠ Iehovah Elohim Binah Tzaphquiel Aralim Shabbathai S. (for “Sphere”) of Saturn ✠ El Chesed Tzadquiel Chaschmalim Tzedeq S. of Jupiter ✠ Elohim Gibor Geburah Kamael Seraphim Madim S. of Mars ✠ Iehovah Eloah Va-Daäth Tiphereth Raphaël Malakim Shemesh S. of the Sun ✠ Iehovah Tzabaoth Netzach Haniel Elohim Nogah S. of Venus. ✠ Elohim Tzabaoth Hod Michaël Beni Elohim Kokav S. of Mercury ✠ Shaddaï El Chai Iesod Gabriel Cherubim Leanah S. of the Moon ✠.

Eliphas Levi – Formation of the Soul, “La Clef des Grands Mystères” (The Key to the Great Mysteries), 1861.

A diagram showing the formation of the Soul in Kabbalah. The top three circles represent Neschamah, Ruach and Nephesch. Ruach and Nephesch, influenced by Neschamah, proceeds to Michael, the good Angel of the Soul. From Nephesch, dominating Ruach, it proceeds to Samael, the evil Angel of the Soul. The Tzelem, or image, is double as it reflects both Michael and Samael alike.

The Bembine Tablet of Isis and Eliphas Levi’s Key to the Tablet.

The Bembine Tablet is a Key to the Ancient Book of Thoth. Although the scenes are Egyptianising, they do not depict Egyptian rites. Figures are shown with non-customary attributes, making it unclear which are divinities and which kings or queens. Egyptian motifs are used without rhyme or reason. However, the central figure is recognisable as Isis, suggesting that the Tablet originated in some Roman centre of her worship.

The diagram of Levi, by which he explains the mystery of the Tablet, shows the Upper Region divided into the four seasons of the year, each with three signs of the Zodiac, and he has added the four-lettered sacred name, the Tetragrammaton, assigning Jod to Aquarius, that is Canopus, He to Taurus, that is Apis, Vau to Leo, that is Momphta, and He final to Typhon. Note the Cherubic parallel – Man, Bull, Lion and Eagle. The fourth form is found either as Scorpion or Eagle depending upon the Occult good or evil intention: in the Demotic Zodiac, the Snake replaces the Scorpion. The Lower Region he ascribes to the twelve simple Hebrew letters, associating them with the four quarters of the horizon. The Central Region he ascribes to the Solar powers and the Planetary.

In the middle we see above, the Sun, marked Ops, and below it is a Solomon’s Seal, above a cross; a double triangle Hexapla, one light and one dark triangle superposed, the whole forming a sort of complex symbol of Venus. To the Ibimorphos he gives the three dark planets, Venus, Mercury, and Mars placed around a dark triangle erect, denoting Fire. To the Nephthæan triad he gives three light planets, Saturn, Luna, and Jupiter, around a light inverted triangle which denotes Water. There is a necessary connection between water, female power, passive principle, Binah, and Sephirotic Mother, and Bride.

Ancient signs for the planets were all composed of a Cross, Solar Disc and Crescent: Venus is a cross below a Sun disc, Mercury, a disc With a crescent above and cross below, Saturn is a Cross whose lowest point touches the apex of the crescent; Jupiter is a Crescent whose lowest point touches the left hand end of a cross: all these are deep mysteries. Levi in his original plate transposed Serapis and Hecate, but not the Apis noir and Apis blanc, perhaps because of the head of Bes being associated by him with Hecate. Note that having referred the 12 simple letters to the lower, the 7 double must correspond to the central region of the planets, and then the great triad A.M.S. the mother letters representing Air, Water, and Fire remain to be pictured, around S the Central Iynx, or Yod, by the Ophionian Triad the two Serpents and the Leonine Sphynx. Levi’s word OPS in the centre is the Latin Ops, Terra, genius of the Earth; and the Greek Ops, Rhea, or Kubele (Cybele) often drawn as a goddess seated in a chariot drawn by lions; she is crowned with turrets, and holds a Key.

Athanasius Kircher – Hieroglyphical Representation of Jupiter or Pan, “Oedipus Aegyptiacus”, 1652.

The great Pan was celebrated as the author and director of the Sacred Dances which he is supposed to have instituted to symbolize the Circumambulations of the Heavenly Bodies. Pan was a composite Creature, the upper part – with the exception of his Horns – being Human, and the lower part in the form of a Goat. Pan is the prototype of Natural Energy and, while undoubtedly a Phallic Deity, should nor be confused with Priapus. The pipes of Pan signify the Natural Harmony of the Spheres, and the God himself is a Symbol of Saturn because this Planet is enthroned in Capricorn, whose emblem is a Goat. The Egyptians were initiated into the Mysteries of Pan, who was regarded as a Phase of Jupiter, the Demiurgus. Pan represented the impregnating Power of the Sun and was the chief of a horde rustic Deities, and Satyrs. He also signified the controlling Spirit of the Lower Worlds. The fabricated a story to the effect that at the time of the birth of Christ the Oracles were silenced after giving utterance to one last cry, “Great Pan is Dead!”
