Introduction to the Chakras

occultaxioms:

One of the most important concepts sweeping the vast settings of global consciousness are that of the energy centers within our body. These bio-energetic centers have been called many names throughout the world, but are mostly attributed to the most ancient, esoteric, and shamanic of the Hindu spiritual beliefs The Hindu Tantra. Out of the many profound wisdoms that are revealed by this dynamic mystical practice, it is the mysterious energy vortexes that have had the most practical application in today’s currents of esoterica.

Some facts about the “Chakras” :

– The word “chakra” (pronounced chuk-rah) translates most closely to “wheel” in the English language. Therefore a chakra is best considered a wheel or vortex-like organ of the subtle energetic body.

– According to The Tantra, there are actually thousands of energy centers and pathways in the body, but the chakras are specific centers where many connections intersect.

-The purpose of the chakras are to process and disseminate energetic information between our spiritual and physical bodies.

-There are seven major chakras that oversee the human body. They are generally referred to as: The Root, The Sacral, The Solar Plexus, The Heart, The Throat, The Third Eye, and The Crown.

– Negative, traumatic, or confusing experiences can cause blockages in the corresponding chakras. The Seven Deadly Sins of Christianity directly correspond the major signs of blocked or imbalanced chakras, as well as The Seven Blessed Virtues being representations of the chakras in their ideal form.

– The Chakras are also mentioned as the “Seven Seals” of The Book of Revelation.

–  In traditional Chinese medicine, the seven energy wheels are connected on an energetic pole of light energy called the Taiji Pole. The individual names for each chakra are: Huiyin , Mingmen  Jinsuo/Spirit Storehouse, Shendao, Heaven’s chimney/Bige Vertebrae, Yintang/Wind Palace, and Baihui.

-In Islamic Sufism, there are also seven bio-energetic centers acknowledged throughout the body called “The Seven Lata’if.”

Hopefully this will express the importance of entering into a working relationship with your chakras. The mystical balancing of bio-energetic centers is a global idea spread accross many cultures, not just India. Of course it is important to give respect to the culture and system that brought it’s wisdom to forefront of esoteric thought. That being said, the knowledge of the chakras are a human birthright, transcending culture and religion.

Protection Circle Methods

devnine:

I thought I’d post some methods I use for protection circles, for people to learn or just see how others might do it!

To begin, the basic goal of a protection circle is to create a sort of threshold, over which nothing can cross that you don’t allow. To do this, you channel energy to link other specified points of energy together, and form a wall.

(As always, try to cleanse everything that isn’t sealed before working with it!)

Candle Method: Set up any number of candles, so long as you can form a circle with them; I prefer my minimum amount to be five. Take your lighting tool and, starting from the top, light each candle clockwise. Once done, set your tool aside, and begin focusing on the candles.

Start at whichever one you like, then concentrate and visualize extending a band of energy from it to one of the candles beside it, continuing until you feel like the energy band has been established and is solid between them. Keep focusing, keeping that band thoroughly in mind, and repeat with the next candle, going around in a circle until you connect the last band to the first candle.

Now that you have the basis set up, it’s time to really make a shield: imagine the energy raising into a shining wall, solidifying, filling in all gaps to make the circle into a barrier. As you feel like the wall is coming to completion, instruct it with both visualization and instinctive will to repel energy, and not to draw it in.

Once you’re done, and you feel as if the energy has been properly shaped and instructed, you now have a protection circle! Only energy you intend or allow to go through it will be allowed. When you’re done with it, blow the candles out counterclockwise, starting from the top, and focus a bit on releasing and dispersing the remaining energy. (I prefer to do this during my after-spell cleansing.)

Salt Method: Prepare a fair amount of salt for use; you can even use pre-charged salts, such as sun or moonsalt. For this, though, I’ll be assuming the salt is empty and cleansed.
Pour the salt in a circle, preferably with about a fairly-even, half-inch thickness, around the area you want to enclose.

Sit within it, and focus on connecting to the salt as you would a crystal; after all, it basically is! Once you have, charge it, again, just as you would a crystal-but, instead of just leaving the energy in it, start visualizing a shining barrier of light raising from it, similar  to the candle method. Will it to solidify, to have no gaps, and instruct it to repel energy and not draw any in as it starts to finish.

Once you feel as if the wall is solid and properly-coded, you should have a nicely-made protection circle. When done with it, tap back into the salt and channel the energy out of it into the surrounding environment, then gather back up or disperse the salt after cleansing it and whatever remaining energy is left over.

Extra Tips: You can use the candle method with several different things replacing candles; charged clear quartz, granite, obsidian, seashells, or runes for protection arrayed in the same way as candles-and used to make a protection circle by the same method I described-will work just as well! (If using runes, however, make sure that’s the only kind of rune you’re using at the time, or the others might mess with it.)

Similarly, you can use the salt method with any ground-up mineral, or even ground eggshells, if you’re so inclined!

I hope this helps some people, or at least is just interesting; thanks for reading!

Grounding

tomasorban:

When spiritual teachers recommend you to ground yourself, they usually tell you to empower your root chakra. There are multiple practices including meditation, yoga etc, which can do that for sure. What i want to teach you here is just a shift of a perspective in a sense about the same topic.

Grounding means activity which empowers sense of stability and balance. The secret of this is simple. The key to build up the sense of groundedness is working with your own sense of “Order“.

What do i mean by that? By that i mean casual cleaning.

Connect mindfully the idea of grounding with the idea of cleaning and creating more of order around you. Doing dishes by hands, vacuuming, getting new plants for your windows, buying some orgonite pyramids for your bedroom is great, printing new pictures which you like, creating something like an altar with precious objects. Throw out stuff which you have all the time under your nose, you know that you dont need it, notice that you open some boxes in your home once in a year and for no reason. Get rid of them, the willingness to riddance is purifying.

The essence of all this is doing it with gratitude and mindful perspective. Learn to like these activities and give them some more attention than just putting them in-between other events. By this practice and with this awareness you create better aura for your home and therefore your own auric field can expand and resonate.

you-are-another-me:

“There is a space, right between the conscious and the subconscious, between heaven and earth, between reality and imagination where all things are possible.

If you can see it, hear it, feel it then you can communicate with it. It may be a feeling, a thought, a belief, an action, a habit, an emotion, but it is simply energy. If is is causing discomfort, it is expanding into awareness for comprehension. If it is judged as a problem, then it is currently being experienced as a lower vibration and creating havoc in order for transformation.

We all have the ability to transform all energy of the self and all lower vibrational energy is simply waiting for an invitation for transformation into it’s highest potential. Out of dark into light, out of fear into Love, etc. etc.

If we can connect to the energy of a current issue and simply ask questions, then the answers will come and the transformation of anything that limits the self can be brought into balance.”

thegnosticdread:

“Theurgy is a type of magick that deals with perfecting the Self through the invocation of deities and the inner working of the archetypal energies they are associated with. If that sounds confusing what I mean is instead of using magick to acquire material or external things (like money spells), you use magick to cause change within you. To me this is the most important, most effective, and most lasting form of magick as it puts you in line with your True Will and the accomplishment of your “magnum opus” or “Great Work”. “The joy of life consists in the exercise of one’s energies, continual growth, constant change, the enjoyment of every new experience. To stop means simply to die. The eternal mistake of mankind is to set up an attainable ideal.”

Energy work: Sending energy to people, and objects

wolfofantimonyoccultism:

The act of sending energy is a practice that can help, or hurt people, and can bless, or curse objects. You are able to do this without anything else all you really need is your own spiritual energy, and to be able to focus your mind, body, and spirit. By choosing a target, and taking your time to focus upon it will allow your spiritual energy to interact with the target affecting it. This can be used in order to make amulets, and charms, or in order to imbue energies into certain ingredients, and magical components for ritual work. You can also use this as a simple way to curse people, or to bless them with your energy. And, because of how fundamental, and non tool heavy this practice is you will be able to do it in public without being noticed, which can add some versatility to your practice.

1) First what you need to do is focus on what you want to send the energy to, and what type of energy you would like to send. This can be positive, or negative energy, or can be an energy associated with a certain type of feeling, or state of being such as something like love energy, or healing energy. Sending these types of energies allow them to effect the mind, body, and spirit of the entity, or can be infused into constructs in order for them to become an enchanted item.

2) Next visualize the energy that you are sending, and see it as a ball of light. Visualize it as strong as you can within your mind well also greatly associating it with what energy you have selected. See things that are associated with that concept inside of the ball of light spend a good amount of time doing this until you feel that it is ready.

3) Once you feel that it is ready you release it by pushing the ball out, and away from you, while also visualizing it flowing to the object that you want it to interact with. This will send your energy out, so that your Will, will be able to manifest your intention. Repeat these steps as many times as you would like in order to continue sending energy.
