The dérive (French: [de.ʁiv], “drift”) is a revolutionary strategy originally put forward in the “Theory of the Dérive” (1956) by Guy Debord, a member at the time of the Letterist International. Debord defines the dérive as “a mode of experimental behavior linked to the conditions of urban society: a technique of rapid passage through varied ambiances.“ It is an unplanned journey through a landscape, usually urban, in which participants drop their everyday relations and “let themselves be drawn by the attractions of the terrain and the encounters they find there”. Though solo dérives are possible, Debord indicates

that the most fruitful numerical arrangement consists of several small groups of two or three people who have reached the same level of awareness, since cross-checking these different groups’ impressions makes it possible to arrive at more objective conclusions.

The dérive’s goals include studying the terrain of the city (psychogeography) and emotional disorientation, both of which lead to the potential creation of Situations.

7 Law Of Attraction Principles You Need To Know

1. We attract what we are. Like attracts like in this universe, when we desire something we must become that which we are seeking and watch it present itself to us.

2. Our vibe attracts our tribe. The people in our lives are a direct reflection of who we are, if we don’t like the people we’re surrounded by something has to change and that something is us.

3. We create our reality. We are multidimensional beings having a human experience, we are here to create, play and have fun. We do this by creating everything we experience based on our thoughts, beliefs & actions.

4. Aligning with our truth. Living in alignment with our true feelings and living authentically will allow us to create the life we love. When we compromise living our truth for the comfort of others we are actively creating a reality based on fear and lies which will only result in dissatisfaction.

5. Let love guide us, not fear. Choosing love instead of fear every time the choice presents itself tells the universe that we are love and we attract more love into all areas of our lives.

6. Our emotional bank balance. The way we feel is directly related to the way we experience life, when our emotional bank balance is high we can expect to attract the people, places & things that make us feel good.

7. Pronoia. When we believe the universe is conspiring to help us we begin to experience life through the lens of positivity. Adopting this belief means regardless what we experience it is positively contributing to our growth.

We attract what we are, not what we want.

Peace & positive vibes.

Breath Awareness Meditation

metapsykhe:

[Excerpt from A Guided Breathing Meditation to Cultivate Awareness by  Mark Bertin]

This practice is a breathing meditation. We focus on breathing not because there’s anything special about it but because that physical sensation of breathing is always there. Throughout the practice, you may find yourself caught up in thoughts, emotions, sounds—wherever your mind goes, simply come back again to the next breath. If you’re distracted the entire time and come back just once, that’s perfect.

1) Sit comfortably, finding a stable position you can maintain for a while, either on the floor or in a chair. Close your eyes if you like, or leave them open and gaze downward toward the floor.

2) Draw attention to the physical sensation of breathing, perhaps noticing the always-present rising and falling of your abdomen or chest, or perhaps the air moving in and out through your nose or mouth. With each breath, bring attention to these sensations. If you like, mentally note, “Breathing in… Breathing out.”

3) Many times over, you’ll get distracted by thoughts or feelings. You may feel distracted more often than not. That’s normal. There’s no need to block or eliminate thinking or anything else. Without giving yourself a hard time or expecting anything different, when you discover that your attention has wandered, notice whatever has distracted you and then come back to the breath.

4) Practice pausing before making any physical adjustments, such as moving your body or scratching an itch. With intention, shift at a moment you choose, allowing space between what you experience and what you choose to do.

5) You may find your mind wandering constantly, caught up in a whirlwind—that’s normal, too. Instead of wrestling with or engaging with those thoughts as much, practice observing, noting wherever your attention has been, and then returning to the physical sensation of breathing.

6) Let go of any sense of trying to make something happen. For these few minutes, create an opportunity to not plan or fix or whatever else is your habit. Exert enough effort to sustain this practice, but without causing yourself mental strain. Seek balance in this way; if you find yourself mostly daydreaming and off in fantasy, devote a little extra effort to maintaining your focus.

7) Breathing in and breathing out, return your attention to the breath each time it wanders elsewhere.

8) Continue to practice observing without needing to react. Just sit and pay attention as best as you are able. As hard as it is to maintain, that’s all that there is. Come back over and over again, without judgment or expectation.

9) When you’re ready, gently open your eyes. Take a moment and notice any sounds in the environment. Notice how your body feels right now. Notice your thoughts and emotions. Pausing for a moment, decide how you’d like to continue on with your day.

Het Kosmische Ei
Tarot (Cosmic Egg Tarot) –
Deck by Guido Gillabel

The Fool is the true “cosmic egg”,
forming out of the great void into which it will someday be absorbed. The
Empress is an excellent rendering depicting an embryo nestled snugly within
the egg-shaped womb. In The Emperor, we see the
embryo hatch and take form (form being represented by the geometric shape of the
square).

The Yin-Yang of male and female energies come together in The
Lovers’ card, with a tiny Cupid’s bow and arrow hovering overhead.

I love The Hermit (always a favorite card of
mine). Here, we see several ovoid shapes blossoming from the card….the face
and body of the Hermit himself and the lantern which he holds, its rays
emanating outward. I am impressed by the sense of radiating light, which is
communicated in a card using only the medium of black ink (combined with the
clever talent of the artist).

The cosmic egg next takes the form of the atom in The
Wheel card, with the letters T-A-R-O revolving about the center, which is a
tiny, detailed depiction of the Tree of Life. Notice that “A” and
“O” are featured at the top and bottom of the “wheel”. They
represent “Alpha” and “Omega”, the beginning and the end.

The Strength card is another symbolically
interesting rendering. Here, the egg is delicately held between vice-like cosmic
fingertips, its seeming fragility belied by its steady resistance to the
pressure being placed upon it; it’s inner strength more than a match for the
strength of outside forces.

The egg (symbol of cycles, birth and rebirth) is perfect for The
Death card. Here, two ovoid shapes depict the
dual nature of death, which is only a pathway to transformation and rebirth in
another form.

The Moon card is a delight. Against the
hypnotic backdrop of the quarter moon, a tiny witch on a broom continues her
solitary journey through the night. The Sun, a reminder of rebirth, contains the
cosmic egg which has now taken a series of fascinating forms as uterus and
ovaries.

And finally in The World card (Universe),
form and chaos, yin and yang, come together, inextricably linked to create the
final unified form contained within the Cosmic Egg.
